High-quality AI chatbot writing tutors are going to be a gamechanger this year. Students will get more and better feedback on improving their writing, like having a personal coach for school.

Speaking on the topic, Bill Gates noted how AI tools, rather than replacing teachers in the classroom, could provide much-needed support to overworked teachers and “close the gap for low-income students around the world.”

What this means for students: Getting high-quality feedback is crucial to honing our writing skills, but access to support is highly-determined by the level of resources that students have access to.

AI writing tutors will be revolutionary for students and teachers alike, providing support for overworked teachers and powerful access to tutoring previously reserved for a fortunate few.

Sixteen Montana residents, aged 5 to 22, just won a landmark climate lawsuit against their state. They argued the state violated their constitutional right to a clean environment by promoting fossil fuels.

The results of the ruling? Effective immediately, Montana officials will be required to consider the impacts of greenhouse gas emissions when making decisions for oil, gas, coal and other energy permitting.

What this means for students: Many are calling this the most powerful climate change ruling from any court in U.S. history. This proves that standing firm for what's right can lead to big change, no matter the arena, and no matter your age.

After battling it out with the top teams in the world, Spain emerged victorious. In addition to Spain lifting the World Cup for the first time, this tournament broke multiple attendance records, with almost 2 million fans attending matches.

It was a win not free of controversy, however, as the Spanish coach, Jorge Vilda, was booed by fans and largely ignored by the players due to ongoing allegations of unprofessionalism and emotional abuse of the squad.

Despite the events surrounding the win, it was an incredible victory that ultimately belongs to the players 🇪🇸

What this means for students: Representation in sport matters. With a record attendance at this world cup, it appears that the tides are turning in a positive direction, with women’s sport starting to get the recognition it deserves. That being said, there’s still a long way to go.

Afghan activist Matiullah Wesa was arrested by the Taliban for advocating girls' education. Despite international calls for his release, he remains detained. Angelina Jolie has publicly highlighted his case to garner support.

What this means for students: Everyone deserves the right to an education. While stories like this can be discouraging, we can still do our part to help. Here are four powerful ways to support girls’ access to education in Afghanistan.

😌 The Wellness Workshop

A recent survey found that more than 1 in 3 of teens report having poor mental health.

That checks out – balancing classes, extracurriculars, and a social life can feel overwhelming.

Fortunately, we just discovered an incredible resource from Yale that we had to tell you about:

The Science of Well-Being for Teens – a free, 6-week course for teens where you can explore what the field of psychology says about:

  • How to be happier

  • How to feel less stressed

  • How to thrive in high school and beyond

This free, evidence-based training is an invaluable resource as the new school year ramps up.

We highly recommend you check it out! ☀️
